Got the p0150 code for the left front heated 02 sensor. Replaced with a Wagner brand sensor I got for $55 shipped from www.oxygensensors.com and a $30 sensor wrench from autozone. The special wrench was needed because of the tight spaces between the radiator and the exhaust manifold (it bends between the handle and the socket).

I was getting 30-32mpg before the 02 sensor replacement and now get 32-36mpg. I drive mostly highway miles (90%)

I've been hearing a squeek in the front drivers side area, the area around the wheel well when I turn the steering wheel. I looked in that general area and noticed the boot on the inner tie rod has split.

The front drivers side tire has been wearing on the left outer edge, maybe caused by a tie rod/alignment issue.

The car still has an issue where the car has loss of power at around 2400-2800 rpms. I replaced the mass air flow sensor about 2 months ago with a used part I got from a guy on maxima.org. Next thing I'll try is replacing the coil packs to see if that will solve this loss of power.

I replaced the right front heated O2 sensor about a month ago and noticed the miles per gallon go from 36 to 42 at 60MPH on a flat surface using the SCANGAGE II. I also noticed smoother idle. Average MPG went from 28 to 33 and can drive approximately 450 miles till the car is at a 1/4 a tank (14 gallon fill up). The fuel tank is 15 gallons I believe.
About three weeks ago I finally got the car safety inspected. The mechanic said it needed front break pads and rear drivers side caliper had locked up while there. I also had them change the motor oil with Mobile 1 EP 5w30 and Mobile 1 EP filter (186,000 miles)

Went to visit family in Michigan for turkey day. Drove 550 miles and while I was there had the passenger side tie rod, alternator belt changed out with duralast parts from autozone. Car didn't wonder anymore.
Within a few days of getting new tires i went to to the autozone and got the cheapest struts they sell for my car, monroe gas-o-matic $55 per strut, installed at pepboys for $150 labor charge to have two installed. They are a very stiff strut but got the bounce out of the back of the car.
The next week I bought 4 new tires from the local firestone dealer. They were having some $50 tire deal. $300 later I had cheap 40,000 mile tires. The car drove much better. Looking back at this purchace I regret buying these.. I could have gotten a better tire for the same price by going to Costco. Firestone only does free tire rotation and charges $20 per tire to balance them.
About a month after having the car I started hearing a loud grinding from the front drivers side wheel. The bearings needed to be changed out. I went and bought the bearings and grease to try to do the job my self $30. Was not able to get the wheel nut off the cv axle and stripped the threads on the axle so I took it into the local pepboys auto shop to have them do the job. They ended up calling me after a few hours saying I needed to get a new wheel hub because the race was too warn and they are not able to press in the new bearings. They ended up ordering a wheel hub from a junk yard. Once the bearing, wheel hub, and cv axle was changed out the car drove much more smooth $650 later.
